Description

This is an Aesculapian snake (Zamenis longissimus). It's one of the rarest colubrids in Europe. This photo was taken in its natural habitat. I found this species in a forest in North Italy around the Garda Lake. It's not a Zamenis lineatus because Zamenis lineatus lives in South Italy and the Garda Lake is in North Italy!
